4 WARNED IS 4 ARMED!

Updated: Jun 19, 2021

Opening in a ‘brave new world’.....

To open one new business through Covid, many see as utter madness, then imagine opening 3 companies and 4 very different departments?!. Add to your lips: Arts sector mass participation, venues from around the world and the natural risk in these exceptionally uncertain times… Oh the thrill!!!!

Why are we Covid Champions?

Our founder: Kirstin Oliver, instead of sitting back to wait, went into study mode and stepped up, involved as part of the cross-industry research to become one of the first Cohorts of Producers and Arts

Consultants to be a UK Certified Covid Champion.

Kirstin has recently returned from South East Asia, and was already behind the scenes, writing and monitoring Covid policy for Venues in Malaysia since February 2020. This included a pilot digital hy-bred ‘dual’ event programmes in Kuala Lumpur, demonstrating new access in entertainment and participatory events.

She was investigating through CNC, WHO, and each Manufacturer leader, the appropriate cleaning products to use for arts spaces, that suit house mixed material acoustics, delicate technical equipment, soft dance floors, rigging and exceptionally expensive fixed equipment. Her return to the UK, to then continue in sharing her expertise as a Covid Champion equals a safe return to the arts.

Why these Icons and Standards are important to us?

We are able to ensure accurate, industry arts specific personal safety. Where everyone is equal in provision and monitoring from the Audience, Artists and Crew. We sing from the same song sheet, (with a facemask covering our nose and mouth and in our social bubble) appropriate to that art form style.

Kirstin Oliver Arts Consultancy Ltd, and each company within the ‘artistic rainbow’, all follow the same regulations, as the UK Associations and Federations of the Hotel, Tourism, Culture, Travel and Arts sector.

What makes us a Covid Champion?

We submit regularly, the following depth of vetted portfolio documentation, pre-during and post show, per event.

  • Traffic light risk assessments

  • Social distance ‘flexible’ Layout options

  • Moisture & spit reading.

  • Audience confidence to ‘return’ programmes

  • Cleaning resumes before, during (if multiple spaces) and after.

  • Staff, Artist, Crew training with monitoring procedures.

  • Venues and spaces ‘part of the same champion bubble’

  • Ticket insurance

  • Travel quarantine news

Our team submits for Oeuvre A Participatory Service Ltd and Artistic Services, each event documentation under our ‘umbrella’. We do advise our 3rd party touring artists and companies, and we only offer venues that are approved, like ourselves.

What will you notice?

You will spot the icon’s, hashtags and info-video information sent and displayed at each venue you attend. These icons are for the UK only. We are investigating for Europe and Asia, per country, the arts equivalent.
